The author of La Comédie humaine lived from 1799-1850. It is said that he would write for long stretches—sometimes 15 hours—drinking cup after cup of coffee. He was also continually in debt from making bad business decisions. The apartment he lived in, at 47, rue Raynouard in Paris, is today one of three literary museums in Paris. It contains his writing desk, his cane and coffee pot. You can order this beautiful sticker drawn for us by Isabella Bannerman for $5.95 and we'll throw the first-class shipping in at no extra cost.
