Mary Shelley: She's Alive! Alive!

Mary Shelley's immortal creation, Frankenstein's monster, will once again be brought to life in film. The Guardian asks, "Can Angelina Jolie breathe life into Universal's Bride of Frankenstein?" (Her mother, Mary Wollstonecraft, was also incredibly influential--we have her, too.)

Mother & Daughter Greats: Mary Wollstonecraft & Mary Shelley

Mary Wollstonecraft's writings are being rediscovered. Her A Vindication of the Rights of Women was published in 1792 and Maria: or, The Wrongs of Woman in 1798 (after her death in 1797). Both are considered early feminist works. Wollstonecraft died giving birth to Mary, who wrote Frankenstein and married the poet Shelley. I can't think of two more influential writers who were mother and daughter (and two of the most influential writers, period).  You can purchase both stickers for just $5.95 each, and we'll throw the shipping in for free. A great present for moms and daughters who love to read!
